7 Day Meditation for Chakra Balance

You may not know but Yoga and Astrology are huge parts of my life and are my go to for any kind of stress relief, mental wellness, or emotional balancing before any other mode of medicine to deal with emotional wellness. I am a teacher and have been a Yoga Practioner for over 20 years. Due to the nature of these times that are fast changing and while we may feel isolated or out of sorts in the physical world, know that our emotional and spiritual world can have a base to attach to during these times. With that being said, this compelled me to put together a seven day chakra meditation that you can do on your own, at your own pace, or just use these meditations one at a time for a chakra tune up or chakra tuney as I like to call them. There are many different ways and a lot of information in this simple presentation that you can use just a part of or focus on all of it. You can wear clothing to match the color of chakra you are working on that day or you may wish to focus only on those color of foods for that day as well. However you choose to use these meditations is totally up to you and there is no wrong way.
I feel it is self explanatory and quite simple to follow along with, which was my goal, but I know that Yoga can be a little confusing as well so if you need clarity or have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out and ask! So, find yourself a quiet space with a cushion, blanket, or nothing but yourself and enjoy the next seven days ahead.

Sitting quietly with hands in lap
Breathing in to the count of four and exhale to the count of four until breath finds a nice smooth and slow rhythmic pattern.
Gently allow your mind to turn inwards
Hands in lap in Prithvi Mudra (Ring finger and thumb touch - Earth Element)
Allow your focus to gaze on the word support or whatever that word may mean to you.
Where do you need more support in your life?
Where do you have too much support and may be becoming codependent on others or turning to vices?
How can you stabilize yourself so you may have a proper and firm foundation to grow from?

Humming Breath. Big inhale and hum when exhale. You may gently put thumbs in ears, gently lay index finger on eyes, middle finger on nostrils, ring fingers at corners of mouth, pinky on chin. **calming**
6 Petal Lotus
... Bij Mantra:
Sitting in Vajrasana (if available for your knees) hands resting on knees in Varuna Mudra (Pinky Finger and thumb touch - water element) breathing gently in and out through the nostrils to a count of five on the inhalation and 5 on the exhalation until breath naturally flows in and out slowly.
Eyes closed and allowing the mind to quiet and turn inward.
Focusing on the motion of the breath and allow it to become ocean waves and follow them out to sea. Feeling your body drift on the waves of reality and allow smoothness and calmness to wash over your nervous system. Imagine your nerves being gently cooled down by the blue waters of tranquility. Float on your raft in the cosmic ocean for 10 - 30 minutes.
Journal about your experience and where you can bring smoothness and nurturing into your life for yourself and for others. How may you incorporate more of the water element in your daily routines?

Solar Breath: Inhale through the Right Nostril and Exhale through the Left Nostril. Do ten times up to ten mintues. Heating, balances digestion and cleanses sinuses
10 Petal Lotus

Sitting Quietly in a cross leg position or in lotus position.
Hands on knees in Prana Mudra (pinky and index finger touch thumb while index finger and middle finger extend. Palms face up.
Close eyes and begin to breathe in deep slow breaths counting to ten on the inhale and slowly counting to ten on the exhale
Focus on the controlled slow movement of the breathing and directing this energy into your power center that is located in your solar plexus. Continue doing this with a focused mind for 5 - 25 minutes.
Allow the heat to build yet maintain steady focused awareness while eyes are closed.
How do you use your power in your life? Are you allowing others to use it and letting it go to waste? How can you claim more of your power back in your life? How well do you defend your ideas and philosophies?

Inhale through the left nostril and exhale through the right. 10 breaths at least up to ten minutes. Cooling, relieves anxiety
12 Petal Lotus

Folding a blanket or laying on a bolster or pillow, gently lay over the chosen option for a gentle to deep back bend. Close your eyes and place your right hand on your abdomen and your left hand on your heart. Allowing your breath to flow smoothly in and out focus on how you can invite in more love into your life or how to smooth out rough spots within. Allowing the mind to swirl around beautiful colors and scenic landscapes, try to see how you can bring your empathy into your life for yourself and for others.
Stay here allowing your heart to open in this back bending resting posture 5 - 35 minutes
How can you be more mindful in your life when dealing with others? Are you being an equal give and take with those you love or are you constantly in need? How may you show other’s more effectively how you care? What is your love language or how do you show your love?

To do this , Open your lips and breathe out as if you were blowing your breath on a window. As you are blowing out the breath, close your lips and here the deep sound of the breath as the throat constricts to subtly restrict the flow of air. It will sound like an ocean wave.

Sitting in an easy cross legged position and allowing the eyes to close and the breath to flow in and out. Hands in Ganesh Mudra. (Thumbs touching, the right hand cups the left. Noticing the air flowing through the sinus passages and cooling the throat. Allowing your mind to find the word satya or truthfulness and focus on this. The word vishuddi means pure. Stay here, quietly breathing and allowing the breath to flow through your being.
Are you able to effectively and clearly speak what you mean?

Deep Inhale and forcefully exhale through the nose allowing the natural short inhale to occur. Do this 26-108 times, rapidly. Known as skull shining breath, will increase energy and clear energy channels

Aum / Om
Sitting in Padmasana (lotus) if available (or easy cross legged position) allow hands to rest on knees in Gyan Mudra (index finger and thumb touch). Closing eyes and steady slow breathing allowing the eyeballs to roll up to point in between eyebrows allow the mind to focus on the word command for about a minute and let it fade into the distance. Notice what comes up as your breath takes you more deeply within your mind. Stay here for 5 minutes up to 25 mintues.
How are you in situations that require you to focus and be present? Are you able to take in all the knowledge and properly digest it to a rational observation or does it get mixed up? Are you able to see things clearly with out projection? Does your ego rule you? How are ways that your ego has trapped you and how were you able to free yourself?

Laying in Savasana, focus on the words Sat Nam or I am. Feel the connection to all living beings in this world and know you are a part of a greater picture. Stay here for 10 - 40 mintues.
